Why are raw carrots in my dog's poop? Should I purée them?

I don’t think that is too many carrots. Pets can get soft stool for many reasons. It’s likely to do you always see the orange bits in her feces if you are feeding her the carrots as she may not break those down as well. That is generally not anything to be worried about. You could feed her boiled white meat chicken and boiled white rice for 24 to 48 hours. If she does not respond or she gets worse, then I recommend she see her veterinarian. Other low-calorie options are green beans, peas and cauliflower. They also make a variety of dog treats that are low-calorie but you must look at the label. Hi there. Frozen/mashed/microwaved/raw/ or any other way you prepare it peas and carrots will be fine for your dog. Avoid toxic vegetables like onion and garlic, and don't serve with butter or other fatty oils or foods. Vegetables like peas and carrots are a great treat for your dog. Her teeth will crush it up so you don't have to mash it, and if she doesn't have any teeth cut it into small pieces so she doesn't choke, but the stomach acid will do the rest.

While dogs can eat plant material, they are carnivorous. This is show in the design of their teeth. They have sharp, blade like molars that are designed for slicing food rather than grinding it. Herbivores, like cows, have molars that are flatter and are made to grind up the plant material. In addition, their digestive system is designed to digest protein and fat, and due to that, they have trouble digesting produce. Produce should therefore be pureed to help them fully digest it.

Raw diet is not easily digestible. If you want to continue o give raw diet, you could try to add something else to increase the density of the feces. Boiled rice or potatoes could be the right option. If the signs persist despite this addition, I would switch her back to old diet. Every variation of the diet should be made gradually over one week.
