Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 12 days old

Hi, My lahsa apso has given birth to six pups. Unfortunately one of them passed away today on day 3. I am worried about the others. One of them is specially weak. Any suggestions for better survival chances.

If the mom is not producing enough milk then you need to supplement and bottle feed them with a puppy milk replacer. You should also be weighing them daily to monitor their weight gain. If the puppies continue to have problems then they should be examined by a vet to determine the cause.
