What to do if my puppy vomits clear liquid but still eats apples?

Poor pup. It is possible he just has an upset stomach from something he got into. Try feeding him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken or lean ground turkey and white rice for the next few meals to see if this can settle his stomach. However, if he continues to vomit, acts lethargic, or has a decreased appetite, then there could be something more serious going on internally that will require a vet visit to sort out. Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

The clear liquid vomit in puppies is not too concerning to me at this rate. This indicates that the puppy may have some mild stomach irritation or is drinking water too fast. If it continues to happen once every other day, then I wouldn't be too worried. This should pass in a week or two. If it's multiple times a day, or is continually happening every other day for multiple weeks, then I'd be a little more concerned and would advise a visit to the vet. Lulu is absolutely adorable! It depends on how Lulu is acting and if she is still vomiting. My concern is how old Lulu is. Puppies this young can become sick and decline very quickly. So if she is still vomiting, her energy level or anything is off, if any of the vomit has blood in it or if she starts to develop diarrhea then I would highly recommend taking her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. This can be something simple like just an upset stomach from eating something she wasn't supposed to but it could be something more especially since she is not fully vaccinated. Royal is very cute! Since she seems to be doing well otherwise I would first suspect intestinal parasites. I would also be concerned about a GI obstruction or foreign body. Be sure that you know if she is vomiting (belly goes in and out) versus regurgitation (burps up fluid) versus a cough with a terminal retch (cough is first followed by a gag of fluid). I don't know how old Honey is but she only weighs 5 lbs and that means if she is truly vomiting then she could get dehydrated quickly. If the vomiting is non-stop she should be taken to your Vet if open or an emergency hospital. If it has been a couple of times remove all water and food. Do not offer water for 4-6 hours of no vomiting and offer small amounts and ice chips. Do not offer food until 12-24 hours of no vomiting and offer it as a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs per day as small frequent meals. If she continues to vomit while fasted or once she starts eating she needs to see a Vet. Causes of vomiting are: intestinal parasites, foreign body (something is stuck and needs surgery to remove), dietary indiscretion, viral or bacterial infections, metabolic conditions, toxin ingestion, food allergy or intolerance. Poor puppy. That looks like digested food that he vomited up. He may have eaten something that he shouldn't have. Therefore I would try to fast him for 12 hours and then offer him small amounts of boiled chicken and plain rice. If he is still vomiting, lethargic, or has lack of appetite and diarrhea, then I would be concerned he may have either intestinal parasites or has contracted the deadly parvovirus. It is best to have him seen by your local veterinarian if he is not getting better. Hopefully he just got into something he shouldn't have and will show improvement within the next 12 to 24 hours.
