My puppy threw up clear liquid and has pale gums. What's wrong?

I would recommend that you have Puma examined by a vet as soon as possible. Possible causes of vomiting and pale gums includes intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, among a few others. After examination, the vet may recommend bloodwork, viral testing for parvo virus, or x-rays to look for an intestinal blockage.

This is very concerning as severe vomiting can result in hypovolemic shock (decreased circulating blood volume) which can be life-threatening. This can result in pale gums and weakness as you describe. The vomiting can happen from many conditions such as a gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have her evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further evaluation and treatment. This is a medical emergency. Poor pup! No, this isn't normal at all - I would recommend taking him to an emergency vet today if at all possible. Vomiting blood with pale gums indicates a serious, life-threatening problem. I would be concerned that he may have parvo or some other serious problem such as an intestinal obstruction, as the dewormer would not cause these symptoms. The emergency vet can do a parvo test or other testing if needed to help determine what's wrong and get him started on appropriate treatment right away.

The white or pale gums are a sign of severe anemia. It could be due to a high worm burden or it may have another underlying cause. Vegeta should be seen by your veterinarian to diagnose the underlying cause. Given current circumstances, you may need to drop him off at the clinic then wait for your veterinarian to call you. Supportive care may be indicated until he is feeling better.

Poor pup. It is possible he just has an upset stomach from something he got into. Try feeding him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken or lean ground turkey and white rice for the next few meals to see if this can settle his stomach. However, if he continues to vomit, acts lethargic, or has a decreased appetite, then there could be something more serious going on internally that will require a vet visit to sort out. A warm dry nose is a pretty non-specific sign that doesn't really mean anything in particular, and a pale or thinning haircoat can be associated with any kind of long-term illness. It sounds like Bae may be seriously ill, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic tonight to be seen. If this isn't possible, then I would take him to your regular veterinarian first thing in the morning. Your veterinarian can do blood work, x-rays, or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and see what kind of treatment is needed.
