Is it safe to travel with my 12-week puppy after second shots?

It would be a good idea for Coco to travel when he is fully vaccinated so he is protected against a number of viruses and bacteria that could potentially infect him during his travels. Yes, as long as he wil not be exposed to other dogs. The only concern about puppies traveling after vaccines is the risk for vaccine reactions. Most vaccine reactions happen within hours of the vaccine. So if after 2 days, he is not showing any symptoms of reaction (extreme lethardy, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling, hives, difficulty breathing), he will likely be fine.

Unfortunately, Maximus is not fully vaccinated at this point, so he should not be going outside. Depending on your state, he can be fully vaccinated by 12 or 16 weeks. If this was his first round of shots, he will need a booster in 2-4 weeks and then his Rabies vaccine at 12-16 weeks as well as his last booster. Maximus should have minimal contact with other dogs (even where other dogs have gone to the bathroom) as you can’t be sure they are not carrying any of the viruses that Maximus is not vaccinated for that can make him very sick. I know it is difficult to keep a large active puppy inside, but your vet can work with you to have Maximus fully vaccinated in a reasonable amount of time.

Yes you can take Awie traveling with you, but do not allow her any contact with any other dogs and when you take her to potty, do not take her places where dogs frequently. She won't be fully vaccinated, and you need to keep her away from places where dogs go to prevent her from contracting deadly diseases such as parvovirus and distemper.

It is okay to bring her outside inside a carrier, but she is not yet ready to interact with other dogs or walk around in places where other dogs have been. He will not be fully vaccinated until he's received two rounds of vaccines 3-4 weeks apart after 12 weeks of age. He will also need to have a rabies vaccine (which must be given by a veterinarian) between 12 and 16 weeks of age. Bring your shot records to that appointment to make sure there aren't other diseases Gizmo needs to be vaccinated for that aren't covered in your combos. Several rounds of deworming and fecal testing is also very important for puppies. Finally, by doing vaccines on your own, you're taking some risk of that vaccines not being fully effective if they weren't kept cold while being delivered or on your way home from the store. Boarding families, airlines, and customs may also not recognize Gizmo has up to date on vaccines.
