Can my teething puppy safely eat plain yogurt or frozen yogurt treats?

In general I don't recommend to give yogurt to dogs because dairy tends to upset the stomach. If Simba seems to really like yogurt and it does not cause him to have diarrhea or an upset tummy, you can give him a small amount as a treat (no more than 1 teaspoon). I typically do not recommend giving dogs straight milk, and lower sugar ice creams can have artificial sugars (such as xylitol) which are toxic to dogs. Regular ice cream or cheese can be fine in small amounts but it based on each individual animal. If you want to give your dog anything dairy as a small treat, only start with one thing in very small amounts to see how Brody tolerates it and ensure he doesn't develop any vomiting/diarrhea.

If the majority of your pups diet is a good quality puppy food ( at least 80% ), then you can supplement with the sweet potatoes, vegetables (?), & only a very small amount of pumpkin. Pumpkin has a lot of fiber, so restrict this so as not to cause a loose stool. Also, make sure it is canned, or cooked pumpkin, & not pumpkin pie filling. Take care.
