My puppy had crypthoid surgery 5 days ago, today is the sixth day, he a little swelling on his right side where the undescended testicle was taken out from, the dr. saw him two days after the surgery and said was normal and will go down 5 or 6 days after, it is not getting bigger but is not noticeably smaller. Otherwise the puppy is OK, he is lively, he wants to eat the only thing he is pooping only once in 24 hours is this swelling and pooping normal?

The redness should go away within in a week. The skin will be irritated from being cut into and it does take some time for that to go down. Same with the swelling. If you are very concerned about the swelling, I'd suggest you give his vet a call to let them know your concerns and they can advise if you should bring him in or not. But I can tell you some swelling is normal. Best of luck.
