Hi there, It sounds like Hunter may have a urinary tract infection. These infections occur commonly and cause a large degree of inflammation in the bladder, which then causes discomfort and frequent urination. I would collect some urine in a clean tubber ware and take the fresh sample and Hunter to your vet. They can test the urine and find out what's happening. Hi, puppies can get urinary tract infections. I would watch her for urinating more frequently and in small amounts. At 7 months, she should be mostly house trained so this is not likely a behavior issue but it is still possible. I would take her to the vet for an exam if it happens a third time. They can put her on some antibiotics for this and she should be fine. Good luck!

If Sadie is urinating each time she goes outside overnight and urinating more frequently during the day this could be a sign of a urinary tract infection, which is not uncommon in a young female puppy. I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian who would likely check a urine sample for signs of infection. She may have also learned that if she whines to go out you'll wake up and she'll get a little play time so once you rule out a medical problem you may want to work on letting her cry for a bit in her crate before letting her out.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this frustrating issue. If needing an early morning bathroom break is a change, I'd recommend starting with a vet visit to make sure she doesn't have a UTI, bladder stone, skin infection, or even organ function problem etc. Those issues all can all increasing the amount of water she's drinking, making her need to go out in the middle of the night. If there is no medical issue, then it's a house training problem, which is difficult at her age. Usually using a crate to re-house train as if she were a puppy is the most effective course of treatment to deal with this.

Even though it’s only happening at night, Fiddle still might have a urinary tract infection or a problem causing increased thirst that leads to increased urination (infections, kidney disease and diabetes would be a few of these diseases). I would recommend seeing your vet - they would probably recommend checking a urine sample to start.

Keep in mind that this may be unrelated to the crystals and can even be something like urinary incontinence. I would continue monitoring for signs of painful urination or bloody urine. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Further diagnostics would include abdominal imaging and lab work.
