My puppy eats less, stomach gurgles, but acts normal. What's wrong?

The symptoms that you are describing could be signs of GI upset secondary to ingesting foreign material such as leaves, table scraps, or a new dog food. If Snowie is otherwise acting ok you can continue to monitor her and could offer her a bland diet such as boiled chicken/hamburger and white rice. If Snowie’s symptoms due not resolve or she becomes lethargic, inappetance, or starts vomiting I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian. As long as Snowball is acting okay and does not continue to vomit, I would not worry too much. It is not unusual for puppies to vomit occasionally especially if it is been a long time since they've eaten. If Snowball becomes lethargic, develops diarrhea or continues to vomit, she should be seen by a veterinarian. Potential causes for vomiting besides that described above include parasites, eating something irritating to the intestinal tract, infections or metabolic issues such as liver and kidney problems.

If she is teething, then yes, this can cause her to be a little slow when eating her food or not finish it entirely. I'd keep an eye on her eating behavior and take her in to see your veterinarian if she is still reluctant to eat.

Since he is otherwise acting normal I would recommend continuing to monitor him for the next 24 hours. An upset stomach is a common problem with puppies and is usually self-limiting (will go away on its own). It may not be serious right now, but it's always possible that it could be the start of something serious. If Jack has any of the following, then he should see a vet: 1) Blood in diarrhea 2) Very watery diarrhea 3) Starts acting very depressed 4) Stops eating or drinking for longer than 24 hours. 5) Diarrhea lasts longer than three days. You can try feeding bland food (boneless chicken and rice is good). Feed small portions (1/4 cup or less) three times a day. Ensure fresh, clean water is always available. HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Miko! Since Miko is so young and hasn't been eating I recommend you have her seen sooner than later. Puppies that young can deteriorate quickly. If she is not up to date on vaccines, parvo is a concern. But it could be other viral or bacterial infections, food intolerance, ate something that isn't agreeing with her, intestinal parasites or a foreign body. Try offering her something yummy like boiled chicken or hamburger with rice or some meat flavored baby foods. She may have ingested something that isn't agreeing with her GI tract. Monitor her and if the symptoms worsen, seek veterinary attention. If not, withhold food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet ( boiled boneless / skinless chicken and plain white rice) in small, frequent amounts. Serve warm or mix in a teaspoon or two of baby food to stimulate the appetite. If her appetite does not return or she begins to vomit, see your veterinarian.
