Is it safe for my puppy to stay in a smoker's house for two weeks?

No, smoking one cigarette around Bruno will not cause him lung cancer. As I mentioned in a previous question you asked about this same topic, he would have to be exposed to high levels of environmental tobacco in order for that to occur, such as smoking multiple times a day in the home with him right by your side. Smoking one cigarette outside will not give him lung cancer. I personally don't smoke, never have, but if you want to have a smoke, then I suggest leaving Bruno in your home while you have one outdoors.

If Mika has asthma, bronchitis, or some other chronic respiratory condition, then this could be aggravated by exposure to the cigarette smoke. But if she's healthy with no pre-existing issues, I would not expect a few days of secondhand smoke exposure to cause any significant problems.

However, if the pet has an underlying illness that can be exacerbated by the stress of being away from the owner, then it could coincidentally lead to the pet getting sick. If your pet is seen regularly by your vet and deemed healthy, then the risk of this happening is also very low. Most pets, as long as they are properly cared for by the relatives, will do well when their owner is away. Now if your pet gets particularly anxious or has separation anxiety whenever you leave the house, then I would advise getting her on an anti-anxiety medication while you are away, to help keep her calm and stress free.
