What Spectra vaccine should my puppy get for booster shots and when?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 2 months old

So I just received the answer for whether or not I should give my nearly 9 week old pups Spectra 5 or 10, however, I'm curious how I continue about booster shots? 13, 17, 21 weeks? And do I do the next level Spectra vaccination for each?

If you vaccinate now, they should receive boosters at around 12-13 weeks, and then the third series 4 weeks later. They only need the three rounds. If you give Spectra 5 the first time, I would recommend Spectra 10 for the next two series. The Spectra 10 vaccinates against leptospirosis, and they need to have that twice, 4 weeks apart. Make sure they also receive a rabies vaccination with a veterinarian at 16 weeks of age. All vaccines will need to be boostered in 1 year.
