My 8-week pitbull puppy is sick after deworming, bloody stool, no funds.

Poor Lightening. He could have parvo, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, may have eaten something rotten or toxic, or could have a foreign body. His symptoms are a medical emergency, and cannot be treated at home. Please take him into a vet immediately.

Hello, sorry to hear about Indigo. Ultimately it sounds like she could be very dehydrated and needs to see a veterinarian. She would first need to be tested for parvo, if negative other things could be considered such as low glucose, a foreign body which could be causing an obstruction, or even parasites. Blood in the stool like this could be due to a mild gastritis or colitis (inflammation of the gut from eating something that upset it), or could be the beginning of a more severe gut issue. If Harley is still eating/drinking, and playing normally, the just monitor her stools for signs of more blood. If the blood continues, or if the feces starts looking like jam, then have her into a clinic right away. If Harley is quiet, lethargic, weak, not wanting to eat, or seems painful in her stomach, then have her seen by a vet right away. You can also try feeding her a bland diet of boiled/boneless/skinless chicken breast and boiled rice in small frequent meals for the next couple days, provided she is still bright and happy. This diet will clear up most mild gastritis cases without any need for fluids or medications. Best of luck with Harley!

It sounds like she is strained to defecate, likely due to loose stools. Has she been vaccinated? Has she been dewormed or had a negative fecal exam for parasites? If she was eating I wouldn’t be as concerned, but with the poor appetite I am very concerned. Parvovirus or intestinal parasites are high on my list of concerns. It sounds like Baymax is very sick. Blood in the stool is very concerning for severe inflammation and this can be due to many things ranging from parasites to parvovirus to toxin exposure. Anytime a pet is sick beyond 24 hours they need to see the veterinarian and I recommend to get her examined today and the stool tested. For most conditions, the prognosis is better with earlier treatment. I hope she starts feeling better quickly and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I'm sorry that Spike is having digestive issues. In a puppy I worry about GI parasites causing this and if Spike is not fully vaccinated I would also be worried about parvovirus. Parvovirus is very serious and requires extensive medical treatment. GI Parasites can usually be treated easily but you will need to bring Spike to see a veterinarian so that he or she can check a stool sample. You can try to offer Spike a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice or sweet potato to see if this will help calm his stomach until you can get him to your veterinarian. However I would encourage you to not wait too long as puppies can get dehydrated quickly. The blood and mucous also is concerning and a reason that Spike should be assessed soon. I hope he is feeling better quickly!

Poor pup! No, this isn't normal at all - I would recommend taking him to an emergency vet today if at all possible. Vomiting blood with pale gums indicates a serious, life-threatening problem. I would be concerned that he may have parvo or some other serious problem such as an intestinal obstruction, as the dewormer would not cause these symptoms. The emergency vet can do a parvo test or other testing if needed to help determine what's wrong and get him started on appropriate treatment right away.
