Why is my 4-week-old puppy screaming and not eating or drinking?

Oscar sounds like he is extremely sick and in a lot of pain if he's vomiting, not eating, and screaming. Without seeing him in person, I can't diagnose him definitively, but it could be due to a foreign body, a severe GI illness, eating something toxic or rotten, or parvovirus if he's not fully vaccinated. Whatever the cause, it's an emergency that he's behaving this way and he needs veterinary attention now in person to diagnose what is causing his symptoms so he can be treated. At three tyo four weeks of age your puppy is way too young for vaccinations. He also needs to be with his mommy at that age and still drink milk, Please put him back with his mother or at least raise him properly with puppy milk. If he does not take any food he needs to be seen by a veterinarian, preferably today..

Unfortunately, this is not normal behavior for a young puppy and is pretty concerning. At less than two months old, your puppy needs to eat regularly or he risks having low blood sugar, which can cause serious health problems. Vomiting is not typically caused by stress and all these signs make me worry about a more serious illness. Hi there! I'm very sorry to hear about Kimi's troubles. If I had a client call and report the clinical signs you are describing, I'd ask to see the puppy right away. Young puppies, especially smaller ones, can be susceptible to getting a low blood sugar if they go a long time without eating. Not to mention that they can get dehydrated fairly easily as well. I'd definitely recommend Kimi go in to see her veterinarian right away. The veterinarian can perform an exam and check her hydration status. They may also want to check Kimi for an infection of some kind, and/or evaluate some diagnostics like radiographs and lab work. Kimi may need some in-hospital treatments or even just some medications for you to give at home. Things that can make puppies not feel well and stop eating include, but aren't limited to viruses, baceterial infections, ingesting toxic materials, ingesting pieces of toy or blanket and getting a blockage, eating anything out of the ordinary and getting indigestion, or even parasites. A week long history of diarrhea, weakness and vocalizations in a young puppy are very concerning and i strongly recommend urgent veterinary assessment. Take pictures or samples of the plants in case they may be toxic

If this pup is really two weeks old, and won't suck from the bottle or suck from mom, she may be very ill and needs to see a veterinarian right away. She may have some kind of infectious disease which requires testing and treatment for her to get better. She looks dehydrated in this picture, and that happens very quickly when puppies stop nursing. Please seek help as soon as possible.

My first concern, with the symptoms you are describing and her age, is that she may have parvo - especially if her previous owners did not provide you with any paperwork showing that she had received her full series of vaccines. This is a serious, life-threatening illness that is unfortunately quite common in puppies. Other possible causes of her symptoms could include an intestinal obstruction, a serious infection of some kind, or ingestion of something toxic. Regardless of the underlying cause, these symptoms are serious enough to warrant a trip to the emergency vet tonight. He/she can do some diagnostic testing to help determine the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment right away.
