My puppy has recurring bloody diarrhea and vomiting. What's wrong?

If Auggie hasn't had a stool sample checked it would probably be helpful to rule out intestinal parasites. His symptoms could also be caused by inflammatory bowel disease or a food sensitivity. If you've seen three different vets and feel that you're not making progress with Auggie you could have your vet refer you to an internal medicine specialist.

Other causes could include viruses such as parvo. Finally, any dietary indiscretion (getting into something they shouldn't have) could lead to this as well. I recommend that Penny is evaluated by her veterinarian to check her stools for any worms. Additionally, she may be fed a bland diet for the next 5 days, which may be composed of plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken, and low fat cottage cheese. After physical examination and a review of her medical history, the vet may recommend bloodwork to check for anemia and other relevant things. Poor precious. Make sure she is eating about 5-6 small meals a day to help keep her blood sugar up. Since she is having vomiting and diarrhea I would really concerned about her getting dehydrated and weak. She could have something serious going on like parvo virus or a lot of intestinal parasites. I would strongly recommend to get her in to see your vet as soon as possible so they can test her for parvo and worms. They will be able to make sure she has the appropriate medicine to make her feel better and make sure she isn't getting dehydrated.
