My 10-week-old puppy has poor vision. Should I worry or see a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 10 days old | 6 lbs

My 10-week-old puppy seems to have poor vision. He doesn't seem to be able to follow moving objects very well, and appears to lose sight of me at a distance of 15' or more. Is this normal, or should we have his vision checked by a professional?

I recommend to have Chips examined by his veterinarian. Here is a article about normal development and eye sight:

I hope this helps.
