My puppy has a lump on their paw. Is it cancer or something else?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 5 months and 7 days old | 41.88 lbs

Hi there, Yesterday, I saw kind of pimple on my puppy's left hand. Please see the attached photos. People said it maybe cancer, so I'm really scared!!!

Thank you for posting the picture about Bowie. Cancer in young dogs does happen but it is very rare. More common would be a benign tumor called histiocytoma. These tumors usually resolve on their own within 4-6 weeks. However, I would still encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian. A needle aspirate may be done to help determine the diagnosis. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
