My puppy overate. What should I do if he's having stomach issues?

If the belly is swollen but the puppy is not in discomfort, you may monitor her for a few hours to see how she goes. Withhold food for 6-8 hours. Allow small amounts of water. Restruct activity as much as possible until he feels better. Feed him in small meals throughout the day to prevent overeating. At his age, he can eat 4-5 times a day.

Hi, just make sure she is drinking little and often and starve her over the next 6-12 hours according to how much food she has eaten. You can also take her for short walks on the lead to aid transit if she is up to it, but I would not leave to walk off off the lead. Hope this helps !

No worries. If she did overeat, she will pass it likely on her own. As long as she is still playful, let he go about her normal activity and then perhaps give her only a portion of her normal amount of food at the next feeding, to ensure she doesn't become constipated. Withhold food for 12 hours then offer him boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food. If he seems very lethargic or vomiting, take him to the vet to get treatment right away as he might develop GDV (gastric dilatation).
