At that age your puppy would have had only one course of vaccinations. As they did not give you paper work I would assume that your puppy was not vaccinated and start with the first course again. You should take Koko to your vet for a wellness exam, worming and vaccinations. She will need three courses of vaccinations to be protected.

You can have your friend contact the vet they took Bella to for her vaccines, and get copies that way. If they won't do that, it would be safe to assume they didn't get her vaccines. In this case, you will have to take her into a vet to start her vaccines schedule. I hope this helps!

What a cutie dog! That's ok if you don;t have any info. Just start all over again with vaccines, heartworm testing and heartworm prevention. You will not hurt him. Tell the vet his history to help make the best decision. Obviously you may try to find the people and ask them about his health history but if you can't reach them, it will be ok. I hope this helps.

Afterwards, start her on a monthly preventative for heartworm and intestinal parasites. A topical or oral flea and tick preventative can also be started. Discuss with the vet what Cherry's lifestyle will be. This will determine which vaccines she will get. Core vaccines include distemper/parvo combination and Rabies vaccines. She will need 3-4 distemper/parvo vaccine every 4 weeks. The rabies vaccine she can get now. It will be repeated next year, then every 3 years. Lifestyle vaccines include Lyme disease, leptospirosis, canine flu and bordatella (kennel cough). These are given based on her risk of exposure. You can discuss their use with your veterinarian. She can be spayed at about 6 months of age.
