My 6-month GSD/Basset puppy limps, won't eat. What's wrong with her?

One of the dangers in mixing breeds is that you can get, as is this case, two dogs that are built and move very differently. It is possible that this is just a product of two breeds that should not have been crossed, or the German Shepherd Dog could be showing early signs of hip dysplasia, which is not uncommon in GSDs. It could also be an injury, but with both legs involved I doubt it unless she was struck by a car. Elsa needs a thorough exam by the vet, which will probably include x-rays, to determine exactly what is wrong. I hope this turns out well for you and Elsa.
