Why is my 11-week puppy lethargic, not eating, and peeing herself?

From the sign you are describing it is quite difficult to determine the underlying problem. General signs of lethargy could be commonly due to high temperature which may be related to an infection. In puppies gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections are by far the most common type of infections. If the signs do not resolve in the next 24hours or if Luna is showing any inappetence, more evident lethargy or any other signs (vomiting and diarrhoea for example) I would strongly advice a veterinary check up.

Loss of appetite and lethargy can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. Not urinating can be a separate issue and could be due to an obstruction or just simply to a lack of drinking. I recommend that you have Harley evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Poor girl. Unfortunately her symptoms are very non-specific towards one disease process or another. They are very vague indeed. It sounds like she is having decreased appetite and lethargy. I would have her examined by your vet to gather more clues about her condition. Her vitals need to be checked and she may need additional testing like a fecal exam or bloodwork to get to the underlying problem. She could have a number of things going on including an infection or a congenital defect. I do hope that your puppy is going to be ok moving forward. Best of luck and take care.

Dixie is absolutely adorable! I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian. It is very concerning that she is barely eating and is not as active as a puppy should be. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If she is dripping urine or straining to urinate then I would worry about a urinary tract infection or crystals in the urine. I would try to collect a urine sample and bring it with you for an appointment with your Vet. If she has an infection they can provide her with antibiotics. When dogs are in heat they sometimes act lethargic. She is a bit young to have an infected uterus as they do drink and urinate more. It is best to have her examined. I wish you the best!

If Lucille is still interested in food, drinking water, and not vomiting or diarrhea, I would continue to monitor her for another 24 hours. I would see a vet if the lethargy and decrease appetite continues. She could be coming down with something and may get worse, or getting over something and bounce back. I'm sorry to hear that Sophie has been seeming uncomfortable when being picked up a certain way, and is eating and drinking less. While more common in larger breed dogs, it is possible that she has some "growing pains", or panosteitis, in her long bones, which is painful for her when she is picked up as you are describing. This discomfort may be causing her to eat and drink less, and be less playful too. I'm glad to hear that she is not painful in her chest, abdomen or back. She may be suffering from neck pain, which can be a common occurrence in smaller breed dogs. If she continues to seem uncomfortable, lethargic, and have a decreased appetite and water intake, I recommend having her evaluated by your veterinarian. He/she can perform a thorough physical exam to better localize her discomfort and pain. He/she may also recommend bloodwork to evaluate for any underlying systemic disease that could cause her to have a decreased appetite and act lethargic. Please do not give Sophie any pain medications that are intended for humans, such as Advil or Tylenol, as these can be fatally toxic to dogs. I hope this is helpful!
