My puppy grinds teeth eating. Is this normal or will it stop?

You are likely describing teething which is basically a normal type of behavior when puppies are growing up and it is secondary to mouth discomfort as teeth are growing. I recommend that you get Ollie teething type toys which you can get at your local pet store or online. Anytime that he tries to nibble at you or something he should nibble on, you say no and give him the toy. This is likely going to resolve the issue. Good luck and have a great day!

They are likely experiencing some pain as teeth push through, I would get a vet to make sure that their teeth and jaws are properly aligned just in case, but otherwise I wouldn't worry. You can get them some soft chew toys to help soothe them.

Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. I assure you that Asher is getting enough nutrition. This is normal teething behavior and all puppies go through it. Dogs have to be emaciated/starved in order to be truly deficient nutritionally. I would not worry about it. Usually puppies do like harder things to chew on when teething. Do you have any dry food out for him? If not, I suggest you do that. You can also get him some teething toys to help. If the first, you might also see drooling, changes in eating habits, or eating grass. If the second, you may also see teeth chattering, dropping food, etc. If it is anxiety related, you may notice patterns such as always after travel or when the other dog is near, etc. If it is only happening occasionally, I usually don't panic. Congratulations on your new puppy Sully! At his age, he should be starting to lose his puppy teeth so that may be where the grinding sound is coming from. Open his mouth and look very thoroughly just to make sure you don't see anything stuck in between his teeth, in his cheeks or the roof of his mouth. The coughing I would be a little more concerned about. Pets do get minor viruses and allergies. If he is completely normal otherwise, you may watch the coughing to see if it clears up on its own. If it is getting worse, take him in to see the vet. He's a cutie!

This sounds like normal mouthy behavior. The molars (back teeth) are used to grind with, so it isn't unusual in any way. If you wish to stop her from destroying blanket rugs however, I would recommend working with a personal dog trainer to help her divert that energy into something else.
