My puppy's eye is cloudy blue, swollen, and has yellow discharge.

My puppy came inside one morning with his eye closed shut and swollen so we gave it a night to see if it would go away and then the next morning it was a weird cloudy blue color with yellow boogers coming out of it and it's still like this pleas help!

Poor Pickles! It's difficult to tell from the photo, but from what I can see (and your description), I'm very concerned that he may have a serious injury to his eye. The cloudy blue color is caused by corneal edema, which often occurs when the eye is scratched or ulcerated.

I'm afraid this is a rather serious problem that really can't wait, so I would recommend taking Pickles to an emergency vet today to have his eye examined. He will need prescription eye drops at the vet least, and maybe even surgery depending on the extent of the problem. Eye injuries like this can lead to permanent damage and vision loss without prompt treatment, so I wouldn't recommend waiting any longer at home.

It looks like Pebbles most likely has an ulcer on her cornea. Most of the times these are caused by trauma (being scratched by another animal, bumping the into something, plant material, etc.). These can be serious and get worse very quickly. I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian to have it checked and start treatment right away.

My 5-month-old dog has a blue eye. Should I take him to the vet?

It is very hard to make out the photo but I can see the blue, redness and discharge. You are right the dig needs to see a vet. There appears to be an infection going on and the blue colour either means oedema of the cornea which is the transparent eye layer at the front, or uveitis which is inflammation behind the cornea. I would suspect tgat the cornea may be damged which is very serious. Either way the dog needs a vet because at best this will require eye drops to heal but may need more extensive treatment. It is currently the owners responsibility so I would remind her of her obligation to keep the animal healthy and urge her to visit the vet.
