My puppy has diarrhea, skin issues, pale gums, and is always hungry.

Bloody diarrhea could be caused by toxin ingestion, parasites, change in diet,, infectious viral diseases such as parvovirus, blockage in the gastrointestinal tract caused by ingestion of a foreign body, or a mass/growth in the gastrointestinal tract. In a newly re-homed pup like Kane, stress could also be a factor. Please have Kane seen by a veterinarian right away, as bloody diarrhea can lead to dehydration and anemia, and can be very dangerous and even deadly if left untreated. White gums are especially concerning, as they can indicate severe anemia. I recommend you take Kane in to the vet immediately, and take in a fecal sample from Kane when you go. Your vet will likely want to test the sample to see if Kane is infected with parvovirus or parasites so that he can be treated for accordingly. Best of luck. I hope he feels better soon!

I recommend getting him in to see your vet as soon as possible about the loss of appetite and diarrhea. Puppies that young can dehydrate easily and their blood sugar can drop quickly to life-threatening levels. The diarrhea could be caused by parasites, a bacterial or viral infection, or possibly swallowing something he shouldn't have, irritating the GI tract or, more seriously, getting stuck and causing an obstruction. The skin I'm less worried about, though that can be addressed at the same visit. Many puppies develop what is called puppy pyoderma, which is roughly equivalent to acne in humans. Most outgrow it and it rarely gets bad enough to require medication, but sometimes antibiotics and therapeutic bathing is needed to help them heal more quickly.

What a sweet face! I'm sorry that Kanga isn't feeling well. Ideally, get her to a vet. When there is blood in the stool that is always cause for concern. Take a stool sample in as well; its possible she has picked something up from the new pup, and/or is stressed from the new dog and that may be contributing to the blood in the stool. You can deworm every 2 weeks until 6 months of age, and this would be a wise approach with Kanga as well as the new dog. Be sure to use a monthly flea medication as well; that may be part of her itching. Mange would be a possible cause of the itching and hair loss. There are 2 types of mange in dogs. #1 ) Demodectic mange- is not uncommon in puppies, and is not contagious from dog to dog. Typically not itchy. #2) Sarcoptic mange - very itchy, very contagious, not age specific. She could also have an allergy, or an infection in her skin. Your vet may recommend doing a "skin scraping" to look for mites, or an impression smear (where a glass slide is pushed against the skin and looked at under a microscope) to determine the best treatment for the skin. My biggest concern for Kanga, though, is the GI troubles you are describing, with her having vomited and now having bloody stools. If she did have Parvo already, she will NOT get Parvo again. However, there are many other possible causes for gastroenteritis (inflammation of the GI tract) including: *worms, *protozoal parasites such as coccidia, *other viral causes such as coronavirus, *a bacterial imbalance which may be stress related, * dietary indiscretion (meaning a dog is eating mulch, trash, dead bunnies, etc) She could also potentially have a foreign body ( a rock, stuffing from a toy or bed, a bone, etc) that is causing a blockage in her intestine leading to the vomiting and diarrhea. Especially since you've got at least 2 problems here, (the skin and the GI symptoms), a visit to your vet is definitely indicated. You can try feeding a bland diet of plain cooked chicken and white rice, and deworm her and apply a topical flea medication such as Frontline, while you are waiting to get her in at the vet; but get her in as soon as you can. It could be puppy pyoderma, which is a skin infection, causing the rashes. As for not eating, that could be due to many things like teething, systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. I'd take Kai into a vet now to get both these things checked out.

I would recommend that Buddy see a vet as soon as possible. The things you have mentioned do not fit with any one disease in my head, but a poor appetite and diarrhea in a puppy are concerns for bacterial or viral infection, including parvo virus. I always recommend evaluation by a vet if diarrhea with poor appetite happen longer than 24 hours. Possible causes include infection, intestinal parasites, intestinal blockage, food allergy, among others. Many of these can also lead to a dull coat. Not being able to stand is unusual in a puppy, but can be caused by infections, intervertebral disc disease, neurologic disease, hypoglycemia, etc.

Just because you don't see worms doesn't mean they aren't there. In fact, hookworms are the worms that cause anemia (and subsequently white gums) and they are so tiny you cannot see them with the naked eye. There are other intestinal parasite, like coccidia, that are microscopic as well. I would recommend bringing a fecal sample to your vet to have it analyzed so you can make sure you are treating all the parasites the puppy may have. Also, keep in mind, most puppies need multiple dewormings to get all of the parasites. Giving her moist food is fine, it will also help hydrate her since she isn't drinking great. I hate to hear that Roo is having such a bad run. Unfortunately based upon the symptoms you describe, I think another vet visit is in order. The panting can indicate distress and since she can't talk, it's important to be safe and have a physical exam preformed. Her skin issues are likely related to an underlying cause. At her age, parasites or a food allergy are most common. Environmental allergy is more common than food allergy but usually affects older dogs. Address this current issue first. Then I recommend to discuss using a product such as Simaprica to rule out parasites and feeding her a diet such as Royal Canin Hydrolyzed protein for a food trial to know if it's a food allergy. The doctor should double check whatever food they choose for Roo that it is formulated to support the growth of a puppy. I hope this helps to point you in the right direction.
