My puppy has diarrhea for 2 weeks & ate foam. Should I see a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My almost 6 months old Labrador mix (rescued) have been having some diarrhea and soft poop for about 2 weeks. I’m giving him some pumpkin purée, probiotics with his food. Last week he ate his foam pillow (kennel). Do you think is time for me to take him to the vet? He looks very happy and active al the time.

Yes, I recommend to have your puppy examined by the veterinarian. Two weeks is a long time to have soft stool. Make sure to bring in a stool sample so that the veterinarian can check for a bacterial infection or parasite. Best to get this taken care of sooner rather than later. Best of luck.
