Is cow's milk safe for my puppy? Does it cause stomach upset or worms?

I would recommend feeding puppy milk replacement not just milk. If you gave milk then the puppies can get diarrhea which can dehydrate them. If you gave puppy milk replacer it is a good thing that will give them nutrients they need. Puppy stools can have a wide range of normal. Changes are often due to what they are eating or intestinal parasites. Cow's milk is not appropriate for puppies, you need to go to a pet store and get puppy milk replacer. The spots on his belly look normal in the picture, but they could also be caused by insect bites or puppy pyoderma, which often resolves on its own. A vet examination can tell you what is going on for sure. The vet can also test for intestinal parasites that aren't treated with over the counter dewormers, like pyrantel. Most dogs do not tolerate cows milk. As they get older they do not have the proper enzymes to digest the lactose in the milk. I do know of some people who give their dogs milk and never have any problems. Baby girl does need a regimen of regular dog food though to ensure she is getting all the proper nutrients. If Babygirl commonly has an upset stomach the milk could actually be the problem. If she commonly has problems with her stomach, I would have your vet take a look at her to make sure there isn’t something else going on like intestinal parasites or a bacterial infection. Your vet will be able to talk to you in detail about her diet and the amount of milk she is receiving and whether taking off the milk will actually be more beneficial for her and her tummy.
