My 3-month puppy with coccidia hasn't pooped. Is this normal?

I understand that it can be concerning when our four-legged friends' bowel habits change, but it is not concerning for a 3 month old puppy to go a day without pooping. If Marilyn had diarrhea prior to being diagnosed with coccidia, it would not be uncommon to go several days without a bowel movement. I can understand the concern that she may go in her crate, but if her crate is sized correctly (large enough to comfortably stand, turn around, and lay down, but without extra room), it is unlikely that she would go in there. Since she seems comfortable, playful, and is eating normally, there is likely no reason for concern. However, if she seems to be straining to poop unproductively, whining, stops eating, or becomes lethargic, Marilyn should go back to her vet for further evaluation. At this point, just keep taking her outside frequently, but don't stress if she doesn't go today! There isn't anything that will effectively make her go at home aside from frequent trips outside.
