My 2 week old puppy choked on milk and started cough. He coughed for just a brief moment. I patted his sides...nothing came out of his nose but he was what seemed like, coughing. He is breathing normally now...and I don't here and raspy or rattle sounds in his lungs. Should I be concerned? Is pneumonia guaranteed if they accidentally aspirate once?

Poor Truffles! There is always a chance that inhaled milk can cause aspiration pneumonia, even if it was mild, but it can take a few days for that to develop. I would monitor him for now, and if his breathing becomes raspy, he becomes lethargic, or he doesn't want to eat as normal, then I would take him into the vet.
