Why is my puppy's stomach bloated with watery poop and anxiety?

If his belly seems distended and he is now acting ill, my concern would be that the swelling could be due to fluid in his abdomen (blood or free fluid), or a stomach torsion. This can be due to a splenic growth, liver disease, a toxin ingestion, or another underlying medical issue. If his gums are pale, not pink, I would have him evaluated immediately by a veterinarian, as it could be due to internal bleeding, or if he has non-productive retching (indicative of a stomach torsion). If his gums look pink and moist, I would still recommend he be evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as you can to determine what the underlying swelling is, and what necessary treatment needs to be taken to resolve it. If Maxx seems very painful or in severe distress and this has been ongoing all morning, it would be a good idea to bring him to a vet ASAP. Diarrhea in addition to pain, heavy panting or distress may indicate severe GI upset, obstruction, GDV (bloat), or another illness, and should be checked out by a vet right away if his symptoms are continuing.

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Puppies tend to have a more bloated belly. Intestinal parasites are usually the main cause of this. Sometimes the intestines are more gassy in puppies too. I would give the dewormer some more time. If there is no improvement by a week i would have her examined and bring a stool sample with you. Sometimes changing puppy food can help as well. She is due for vaccinations so a Vet exam should be happening soon anyway. Good luck!

This presentation is very likely due to worms, which are causing the bloat. With appropriate medications the worms will die (you will find them in the feces dead or still alive) and the bloat will progressively disappear. Mild constipation will resolve as well when parasite infestation resolves.

I'm sorry Max isn't well! He could be suffering from a foreign body, severe diarrhea from eating something rotten, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, or intestinal worms causing the blood and mucus in his stool as well as the gurgling stomach and lack of appetite. When a dog has blood in the stool, it's time to see a vet to diagnose the cause of it because blood in the stool can be very serious. Home remedies are not recommended in these cases due to that, so I would take Max into a vet today. Good luck, I hope this helps!

I suspect that Lucky may have intestinal worms. Those cause diarrhea in puppies and a bloated stomach. I'd have him seen by a vet for this, and bring along a sample of his poop for the vet to check for worms. If the vet finds worms, they can treat him for it. And yes, it can be ok for him to pant hard when he sleeping, especially if he's hot. I hope this helps!

It sounds as Max is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
