My puppy ate pillow stuffing. Should I be concerned about his health?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 11 months and 11 days old | 50 lbs

I came home tonight and my almost one year old puppy destroyed a couch pillow. Stuffing was everywhere. It is his first time doing something like this. I am not sure if he ate any stuffing should I be concerned?

I would just monitor him for any sign like vomiting, having diarrhoea or not passing feces at all, being inappetent or lethargic. Abdominal discomfort and frequent praying stance would be other possible signs.
Just in case, I would suggest to start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days.
