My 12-week-old puppy is 3.8 lbs. How big will he get as an adult?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 16 days old | 10 lbs

I was just wondering how big Zeus might get to be as an adult. At 12 weeks he was 3.8 pounds. I see different things online about doubling his weight and such. thank you for any help.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I do the trick of doubling the weight at 4 months but, like all guesstimates- it’s not perfect. Zeus will probably be about 8 lbs- give or take a pound- when all is said and done.

Best wishes to you and you little guy!
