My Pug is overweight. What's a good vegetarian diet plan for her?

Pavi only needs dog food, not the roti. Read the instructions on her bag of food, and feed her according to that. No treats, no roti, nothing else. Just dog food in the morning and night. Walk her at least twice a day for 30 minutes. That should help her lose weight.

Feeding homemade diets can be perfectly fine as long as the diet is very carefully balanced with appropriate vitamin and mineral supplements. I would feed her a high quality dog food like Royal Canin. You should also make sure she is fully vaccinated, has regular flea treatments, is spayed, and sees the vet as soon as she is sick. Royal Canin has a weight control food you can give Pax to help her lose weight, and I would recommend making sure she exercises at least twice a day for at least 30-45 minutes at a time. I would also have her seen by a vet to determine how much weight she needs to lose.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Love is adorable! She is also a very good body condition. I would NOT try to make her gain anymore weight. I would try to keep her the weight she is for the rest of her life. Obesity in pugs exacerbates their breathing problems and puts extra stress on bones and promotes arthritis. Obesity causes many health conditions and shortens the life of dogs. Being lean is a good thing. You just don't want to feel or see hip bones. I prefer Royal Canin. Have a great weekend!
