Please take Max to the veterinarian. Let them know your financial restrictions but this could be something easily treatable such as parasites or gastritis. Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Daisy. Contact your local rescue groups, humane societies, low-cost clinics in your area and seek help. Persistent vomiting, bloody diarrhea and lack of appetite are emergent clinic signs due to fluid/electrolyte losses. This leads to dehydration, weakness, and further downward deterioration unless the vomiting stops and the appetite returns. I would advise taking Daisy to your vet as soon as possible to have her evaluated. Many causes are possible including intestinal parasites, dietary indiscretion (eating things dogs aren't supposed to), other dietary problems, gastrointestinal inflammation/infection from various sources, toxin exposure, foreign body ingestion, GI ulceration, side effects from drugs or products used, or even problems outside of the gut including pancreatitis, liver/kidney problems, among many others. Your vet can get a detailed history and perform a thorough exam. Once done, a diagnostic plan and preliminary treatment plan can be started. Most likely a minimum database of fecal/blood/urine tests and some x-rays will be advised. Treatment will be focused on the cause but early treatment could include fluids/electrolytes, anti-nausea/vomiting medicines, acid blockers, etc. Good luck with Daisy.

Hello, Thanks for the information and photo. I'd recommend making an appointment with your regular veterinarian for Jasper to be seen. He may need to be tested for some less common parasites, like coccidia or giardia. If he develops inappetence, vomiting, or lethargy, those would be reasons to have him seen by an emergency veterinarian sooner.

If your puppy has parvo he is not likely to make it until the 18th with home treatment. Homeopathy has not been shown to help this disease. Parvo is very serious. Please get him to a vet. If you can't afford veterinary care then you should reconsider having a dog. I am sorry to be so harsh but this is the most frustrating part of this profession for veterinary professionals. The puppy should not made to suffer. I understand that people have financial constraints but having a puppy/dog is not an inexpensive endeavor. At this point he may be starting to break with parvo but since he is still eating and drinking he may just have intestinal parasites (worms) causing the bloody diarrhea. General dewormers often don't treat the parasites that cause bloody stools; a prescription product is needed once a fecal test determines what parasites are present. Either way, he needs to be seen by a vet. If he doesn't have parvo then you need to be sure to get him his vaccinations at the appropriate intervals so that he gets protected. You can get low cost vaccines at the local Humane Society or at your local VETCO clinic if there is a Petco near you. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I noticed in one of those pictures that his stool is really diarrhea and is black (which usually means a sign of bleeding). Vomiting and diarrhea can occur secondary to conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, parasites, among other possibilities. In addition, black stools can be indicative of bleeding into the small intestine or stomach which can happen secondary to an ulcer for instance. Bloody urine can be the result of an infection, stones, tumors, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can start him on medications to make him feel better and check his hydration status. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. A biopsy for a diagnoses. persistent diarrhea can be a sign of cancer or inflammatory bowel or a food allergy You can feed boiled chicken and rice or continue with the I/D, I know it is expensive but it does help. You can also try a hypoallergenic diet such as royal canine rabbit and potato. The goal of a hypoallergenic diet is a single protein and single carb to not make their GI track work as hard and decrease allergies You should also add a probiotic to the diet as this will help return normal bacteria population to the gut Sometimes a low dose of cortisone can help get rid of inflammation to help also
