Why is my older dog leaking urine in her sleep? Should I worry?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 9 years and 4 months old | 80 lbs

My dog has recently been dripping pee in her sleep. She is a 9 year pitbull. Her pee is fine and has no bad scent. Her poop is fine too. Should I be worried about this ?

Sounds like Dynasty has urinary incontinence. You don't need to be worried but Dynasty does need to be seen by a vet. Urinary incontinence and urinary tract infections go hand in hand. There is also treatment available for incontinence to control it so you may want to get her started on that.
