My old dog pees inside, is weak, wheezes. Should I put her down?

The decision on when to let Honey go is never easy. From the photos I can see that she is quite thin and appears to have little muscle mass. Since her appetite is normal, it is possible that she has cancer (cancer uses a lot of energy to grow and essentially takes calories and nutrients away from other body systems), but could have other endocrine/metabolic conditions (such as diabetes) or kidney disease. Diabetes and kidney disease could also explain her increase in urination. At this point, I recommend taking Honey to the vet for an exam and blood and urine testing. While none of the conditions I mentioned above are curable, they can be managed with medication that could improve Honey's quality of life. I suggest making a list of five things Princess loved to do, whether it be eating, playing, etc. When she is no longer doing at least two of those things, then her quality of life has declined to the point when euthanasia should be considered. Quality of life is the most important consideration when deciding if you put down a dog or not, as you want her to be as happy as possible in her old age. Make that list and honestly examine how many of those things she is still doing. If it's not at least two, then it is likely to time to let her go.
