Why does my male dog keep peeing on my bed even after potty breaks?

Inappropriate urination is often a medical issue and possibilities include a urinary tract infection, urinary tract stones, among other possible medical reasons. Another possibility is that this is behavioral in nature. I recommend that you have Millie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Inappropriate urination occurs when a dog regresses to urinating inside the house. This behavior is more common in male dogs that have not been neutered, although it can occur in non-neutered dogs and cats. The first thing to rule out is inappropriate urination that occurs when there is an underlying health problem which is causing a dog to urinate inside the house. It may have lost control of the muscles in its bladder or sphincter, or there may be an infection (UTI) or other condition as drinking too much (seen in many medical conditions) that is making it difficult for the dog to hold it in long enough to get outside. When a medical caused has been ruled out we can think about the second type of inappropriate urination which is behavioral (such as marking). Yes, neutering generally helps house training but it will not fix all issues. For that, Loki needs training. For the accidents in the house, I recommend crate training. If he is not neutered this can be a behavioral issue. I would recommend neutering him immediately to hopefully stop this behavior. I would also recommend crate training him. You must choose a crate that Hachi can stand up, sit down and turn around. A crate should only create a positive environment. Never use the crate for punishment. Despite what many people think do not line the crate with blankets or beds. Keeping Hachi in the crate when you cannot keep 100% eye on him is important. Every time you take him out of the crate take him on a walk to make sure they go to the bathroom and give positive reinforcement if he does. If they do not eliminate while you are outside then put Hachi back in the crate for another 20minutes. After 20 minutes take him out once again to try. If Hachi does go to the bathroom make sure you take time to play with him and when you have to turn your back again put them back in the crate. I hope this helps. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Cashew. I recommend having him neutered. He is coming into puberty which is why he had started the urine marking behavior. Neutering him will help to resolve this behavior. It will take about 30 days after the surgery for the testosterone to leave his system. It may not resolve the problem entirely as it can become a learned behavior, but it should decrease it significantly. I hope this information helps!

The first thing I think Dallas needs is a vet visit and a urine check. Whenever a dog has an unexplained loss of house training, we need to check for urinary tract infection, bladder stones, diabetes etc. Once a medical issue is ruled out, I would recommend use of belly bands (Male diapers that can be washed), crating when you can't watch him and treats for going outside.

If your puppy is only (or mostly only) urinating on these blankets and beds it is probably behavioral. But, because you don’t want him to start spreading this habit to other things in the house, I would recommend not giving him toys/blankets/beds like this so it discourages the habit.
