Is 13kg a normal weight for a 4-month-old female Labrador puppy?

She looks cute and healthy. She also looks to be more of a field type lab which can be smaller than the more English show type labs. I expect her to mature around 50 lbs. or a little larger. Some dogs grow more slowly but will still reach their full normal mature weight, just later than other dogs. Because Ghontu is a Golden Retriever, her full weight can be between 65-75 pounds. At about five months of age (19 weeks), she should be around 3/4s of her full grown weight, and her weight of 46 pounds is normal. It is expected that she will continue to grow every day, and I would not be concerned about her weight.

Were you able to see the parents and the other puppies? Some dogs just have a smaller than expected body frame. She doesn't appear underweight. Female labs can range between 55-70 pounds. She may gain some more weight as she continues to fill out into adulthood, and that would put her at the low end of normal.

He should be ideally around 6kgs. 2.3 kgs is underweight and should be ideally checked by your local veterinarian to determine if there is any underlying health problem impairing his growth rate. At 12kg (26.4 pounds) Iggy sounds like a normal weight. Please don't try to overfeed him to make him bigger. That will cause growth abnormalities. He is not too thin unless you see all his ribs showing. Most dogs are too fat in general so it is best to keep him lean. Make sure Ruby is properly dewormed and feed her a high-quality large breed puppy food such as Royal Canin or Purina pro plan. Don’t be in a rush to put weight on her, she will gain it naturally. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I’m not sure about the UK but breeders associations like American Kennel Club want the ideal female beagle to be about 9-10kg. A 6 month old who is currently 7.5 kgs should achieve that by a year or so of age. That being said, I do see a huge number of beagles who are more like 15-17kgs which may make your Ziva girl look petite. But not to worry, if the vet says she checks out ok, her weight seems perfectly fine to me. Best wishes to you and Ziva!
