What breed is this mixed-breed puppy I'm considering adopting?

Awww, very cute! She looks like a cross between a Rottweiler and a Labrador Retriever. If you are really curious as to an exact answer, there are dog DNA tests available that make are supposed to be able to reveal exact genetic make up of a canine. Hope this helps!

What a cutie! She appears to have some Papillon in her due to her ear, but her coloring is reminiscent of some larger breeds such as a Rottweiler or a herding dog like an Australian Shepard. It is hard to say for sure. There are some genetic tests you can order for more certainly. I would defiantly say there is some Papillon, and 100% cute!

Congratulations on your new puppy! While it's hard to know just by looking at her, I don't suspect Rottweiler in the background. German Shepherds carry the gene for black and tan (like a Rott does) but this gene is modified by another gene for the saddle marking. Cleo did not get the gene for a saddle and so the black and tan is expressed normally. The best way to know for sure what is in Cleo's back ground is with a genetic breed analysis. I recommend the Wisdom Panel. It's just a cheek swab, no visit to the vet required! Please feel free to post any additional questions.

What a cutie!!!! This is strictly as guess as visual identification has been proven to be 75% inaccurate but if I had to guess, he looks like there is hound and possibly Cattle Dog. Its highly unlikely however that he is a 50/50 mix. I bet there are several breeds present within his ancestry! There are many canine genetic companies out there and some are better than others. You will need to check however that they have a canine genetic database from the country where he is coming from as genetic signatures do vary based upon location or origin. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! He is adorable! He is a mixed breed dog but a predominant breed is hard to guess as he looks very well mixed. I would say that he has some characteristics of a Newfoundland and a Bernese mountain dog. I would say that he is likely to be a medium-sized breed dog to perhaps a bit larger. Good luck!

What a cutie. My guess would be pit bull mix, with a combo of at least 3-4 breeds. If you'd like to know his background there are genetic tests you can do for fun. Embark and Wisdom Panel are both companies that offer this service. Enjoy your new addition!
