Why is my Siberian Husky puppy having trouble walking on hind legs?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 2 days old | 36 lbs

Hi, I have a 5 month old Siberian husky. I noticed when he was born, he had his tail small and curly. I also noticed, like 1 month ago, he has problems walking with his rear legs...like he doesn’t have a lot of support. Any advice? Thanks.

It's possible Coco could have an issue with the nerves in his hind end, a muscular issue, or even a problem with the back/spine. I would bring him into your vet for an evaluation and see if he should be seen by a specialist for further workup if an obvious cause can't be found.
