Which house flea spray kills all flea stages after dog's Nexgard?

I like all of the Bayer products. They have topical treatments for the pet, flea and tick collars that last eight months and a safe in house spray to treat the furniture and carpet. Bayer products are sold at PetCo. They are a reputable company that stands by their products and I personally have never seen a problem after treatment. As with all products please read the label carefully and follow the directions. I recommend treating all of the pets in the house in addition to treating the indoor rooms. I’m sorry it’s not working! I would give Bruzer Capstar. It’s a one time pill that starts killing fleas in 30 minutes, and it’s safe to give now. Give it once a day until it’s been a week since you applied the Advantix, and then give him the Nexgard. Also be sure to disinfect your home, as fleas live in the environment, not on the dog. Wash his bedding in hot and soapy water, and vacuum all the carpets and furniture. Use a spray like Indorex or a flea bomb to kill all the fleas in the house. I hope this helps!

I actually don't care much for sprays, in general - there are much better options for flea/tick control in dogs. My favorites are oral medications like Nexgard or Bravecto, but a Seresto collar or topical medication like K9 Advantix can also work well. If you really want to use a spray, I would suggest Frontline spray - it isn't always terribly effective for fleas, in my experience, but works well for ticks and should be safe. Many of the other over-the-counter sprays contain very harsh chemicals that can be dangerous, so I don't usually recommend them unless you have no other choices.

Good morning! Capstar is generally thought to be effective for 24-48 hours, so I don't think you need to give another Capstar if you gave one last night. The nexgaurd should not interact negatively with the spot-on product or bath because they work differently. If you are having difficulty with fleas in your pets then you may also need to treat your home and possibly your yard. Vacuum all floors (including wood floors) and furniture and throw the contents in the trash outside, wash all pet pedding in hot water if possible and put in hot dryer. Great question! Nexgard kills the deer tick as well as fleas and American dog tick/rocky mountain tick, and lone star tick. It is an oral pill as well, so I would us that for your dogs. Because Nexgard doesn't protect again heartworms, you will have to give your dogs Heartgard as well, which is available by prescription only from the vet. Advantix is a spot on treatment that treats the same things as Nexgard, but you would also have to use Heartgard as well for the heartworms. These two medications (Nexgard and Advantix) are for dogs only. As for the cats, Simparica prevents five types of ticks, so this may work for your cats :-)
