How can I make healthy homemade dog treats using dehydrated carrots?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I recycle preconsumer food waste for a living. I have a TON (literally) of dehydrated carrot and I want to make treats for my dogs. Any advice on what to make sure to include or exclude? I want to make healthy treats insteading of giving them store bought ones. thanks! Chad

You can actually feed the plain dehydrated carrots as treats either in slices or small pieces.
They can also be rehydrated with water, boiled and then fed. The healthiest would be just to feed them without any addition of other things.
