Should my 2-month-old GSD puppy eat solid food or puppy milk mix?

If Shera is only 4kg at this age, I would suspect something is preventing him from gaining weight. I would recommend having him examined by a veterinarian and have him checked for intestinal parasites and treated for parasites. He may have a congenital disease such as a liver shunt or some other systemic disease going on that needs to be treated. The sooner he is seen the better. Unfortunately I can not make a recommendation about food amounts until I know how much she weighs and if she is underweight or ideal weight. You an repost with this information if you like. I do actually recommend doing the Royal Canin “Puppy” until she is about 8-10 months old- then you can switch her to the “Junior”. In general, the guidelines on the back of the bag are a good place to start but If she seems too thin or too fat, you can adjust up or down. Most German Shepherd puppies of this age are eating 3-6 cups daily but it depends on her size and how fast she is growing and if she needs to gain weight. A last note. Even if you cannot afford Royal Canin all the time, she needs to be on some kind of puppy food as much as possible. Chicken and rice ok for short term or occasional use but is MUCH too low in calcium for a puppy. I’d rather you mix a cheaper puppy food with the Royal Canin (or all the time) than have her on chicken and rice too much. I hope this helps and best wishes to you and your pup!

Honestly the best thing you can do is feed him a complete healthy balanced already prepared dry diet that contains the right amount of protein. That way you ensure that he is eating the right amount of protein without having the worry about feeding him meat per se. I prefer the Purina Pro Plan and Science Diet foods. Good luck!

At 3months he should be able for dry food, if necessary to get him started you may wet with one cup of warm water. If wetted, it must be removed after 20mibs before it starts to ferment as his can cause diarrhea. I would not recommend adding milk as this alters the carefully balanced minerals in the diet and can also cause stomach upsets

At a month of age, Malia is just starting to eat solid foods and shouldn't be away from her mother yet (unless orphaned). I would find a wet food or puppy starter food that can be mixed in with kibble, or mix in Malia's puppy formula with it to make a slurry that is easy to eat. Any large breed puppy diet should be fine to give as long as it is complete and balanced. Grain-free isn't really necessary unless there is an allergy to the food, but allergies are not common in a one month old puppy.

Cute puppy. At 6 weeks of age this puppy should really already be on canned/dry puppy food. Most pets at this age can no longer properly digest milk replacement formula. I would go ahead and make that transition now over the next 1 week. Top food recommendations are: Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina or Eukanuba. Water requirements for dogs is around 1 ml/kg daily. Free access to water (in a bowl) usually ensures the pet drinks enough water. Canidae, Acana, Orijen or Taste of the Wild are all premium diets. At her age, Nancyv should be eating a good quality food for large breed puppies. Stay away from store or discount brands as these foods typically contain low quality ingredients and fillers.
