How do I give my dog Vitamin E? Orally, topically, or both ways?

Vitamin E can be used either orally or topically. Vitamin E normally comes in gel caps which are filled with liquid. For larger dogs, the capsule size may be appropriate to give the entire capsule by mouth. To administer a smaller amount orally, I normally recommend poking or cutting the capsule to open it and squirt the appropriate amount of liquid over your dog's food. You can use the same technique to apply it orally. You may also be able to find it in a liquid form which can make dosing it easier.
