Why is my German Shepherd collapsing, unsteady, and not eating?

It sounds like Damian may have cauda equina syndrome. It could be arthritis in the hips but I think cauda equina is more likely. This is an extremely common problem in German Shepherds. Sometimes German Shepherds can have something called "Hip Dysplasia" and can have severe arthritis and abnormal hips and this can cause pain and trouble walking. This sounds like it may be seizure activity - keep a diary of all events and altered behaviours so you can track any changes and contact your vet for a full health check and blood panel to rule out medical causes such as liver or kidney issues. It sounds like Monster is having pretty significant neck pain. It could be a pulled muscle, but more serious possibilities include a bulging disc or even meningitis. I would recommend that you have Monster evaluated by a vet to determine what could be going on. After a physical and neurologic exam, the vet may recommend x-rays or blood work to determine what is going on.
