My Frenchie has a growing, painless tail lump. Should I remove it?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | neutered | 5 months and 10 days old | 30 lbs

My frenchie has a growth on his tail that has continuously grown over the past few weeks. He doesn’t have any pain and doesn’t act bothered when I touch it. What is it? Should I have it removed?

It looks like a histiocytoma. If it is one, it may go away on it's own without surgery. I suggest you have your vet take a look at it in person. They can advise you better after checking it.
