French Bulldog puppy shots: What vaccines does it need and when?

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! At 14 weeks of age Hamilton should be almost finished his puppy vaccine series. At 14 weeks of age, if he has never had vaccines, he would need two DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza) vaccines 3-4 weeks apart. The 2nd DHPP is good for 1 year. He can also receive the rabies vaccine. You should bring a stool sample and be sure he gets dewormed. He should be started on heartworm prevention and flea and tick medications. He doesn't need to be bathed often unless he smells or is dirty. Once a month is probably fine. I like a moisturizing oatmeal based shampoo (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=19244). I like Purina Proplan puppy, Hill's Science diet and Royal canin brands. Hello, if you are unsure about his vaccinations, you can re-start his vaccinations. However, if you know for a fact he did receive vaccines, you may be able to booster him at 1 year of age for his core vaccines (distemper, parvo, parainfluenza, hepatitis). If he is eating a good quality food, he shouldn't need vitamin supplementation. If you want though, you can give him Pet Tabs daily. As stated, feed a good quality diet. Stay away from store or discount brands which tend to have low quality ingredients and fillers. Regular veterinary care and vaccinations are important. Parasite prevention is also important. He should get a monthly preventative against heartworm, intestinal parasites, fleas and ticks. You can discuss options with your vet. Keep him lean and active and love him to pieces!

Hello, congratulations on your new puppy. He will need 3 sets of vaccines 2 weeks apart each set. Vaccinations include to protect against distemper, parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, bordetella, and rabies. You should also discuss checking his stool for parasites and deworming him. Congratulations on adding Coco to your family! Coco's basic vaccines will be distemper/parvo, rabies and bordetella. Depending on where you live Leptospirosis and Lyme vaccines may also be indicated. Coco will need 3-4 rounds of vaccines depending on her age when the series is started. The series will end when Coco is 16-18 weeks of age. Apollo should start his vaccines between 7-8 weeks of age. He will need them every 2-4 weeks until the final set at 16 weeks of age. The core vaccines are Distemper/Parvo, Rabies and Bordetella. First of all, Dodger is adorable! As far as boostering his vaccines, it is recommended that the DAPP (distemper-adenovirus-parvovirus-parainfluenza) vaccine is given every 3-4 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age. If Dodger receives his first DAPP vaccine at 8 weeks of age, he could receive 3 boosters (at 8, 12, and 16 weeks) or 4 boosters (at 8, 11, 14, and 17 weeks) depending upon how you schedule his booster appointments. There is no right or wrong way to handle his boosters as long as he receives them until at least 16 weeks of age since his mom's antibodies will wear off sometime before the 16 week mark.
