Will flea eggs under my nails infest my home if my dog is treated?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Should I worry about flea eggs under fingernails if no more signs have shown and my dog is on a high quality vet prescribed preventative and I cannot see any eggs which I think would be noticeable? I just worry because I didn't wash my hands before touching my clothes and placing them on my bed and I do not want fleas to grow there. Thanks.
