Why is my female chihuahua crying and running around erratically?

Poor Maple. With that description, I worry about pain first and foremost - something like neck pain can come out of no where (no injury, rough housing, trauma, etc) and cause dogs to be really upset without limping or crying out in any way. Since she's otherwise normal, you probably don't need to rush to an emergency clinic, although if you're able to get her in to a vet this weekend, she might appreciate it.

Poor Jersey. There are so many things that could be going on. If she is eating and drinking and playing then she is likely healthy but she could be painful somewhere or having had separation anxiety. If she is crying mostly when you are away but does okay when you are holding her or near by, this is likely anxiety. You can try playing some music or the tv while you are gone to give her comfort. If she is crying all the time, refusing to eat/drink then I would be concerned something more serious is going on. Unfortunately there isn't a good over the counter pain medicine. That you can give her as most human pain meds are toxic to dogs. You can try to entice her to eat using plain chicken and rice or canned food. If she is still refusing to eat, put some honey or Karl syrup on her gums to prevent low blood sugar then take her to your vet for an exam. With her being so small I worry she may get dehydrated and malnourished. I hope this helps and she starts to feel better.

Poor Peanut. She could be having stomach cramps which are causing her to run around and yelp. You could try to feed her some plain boneless, skinless chicken and white rice to see if this settles her tummy. If she isn't improving or constantly yelping, I would have your vet take a look at her. Your vet will be able to figure out the main problem(s) and get her started on the proper meds!

It’s hard to say why she would do this, but wouldn’t it be great if Kiss could just talk?!?! Obviously watch Kiss for any signs of illness or pain: limping, reluctant to walk or play, acting lethargic or any other signs of illness. If she seems abnormal, then I recommend to have her seen by her veterinarian. Behavior wise, Kiss may think the bed is her den and every time she cries and you lift her on the bed, you reward the behavior. Pets learn by positive and negative reinforcements. Every time she has a positive reinforcement, she will continue to exhibit the behavior. It’s hard to say why she would start this behavior. Watch her off the bed and see if there’s anything on the floor or in the house that seems to make her scared. Slippery floors are a very common stresser for pets so be mindful of that. Hugo could have some anal gland discomfort or back or neck pain causing him to cry out. I would recommend seeing your veterinarian- they can check his anal glands and look for a source of pain. They might recommend some tests or starting some pain medication.

This can happen from insect bite, accidentally tearing a toenail, or a number of other minor, but painful things. It could also be related to a back injury, clot, bladder stone, or other more serious medical conditions- though he’s pretty young for those things. He could also have been scared for some unknown reason (thunder, cat outside, motorcycle reviving up, etc), If you have the ability to check on him at lunch (or have someone else check on him at lunch) that would be ideal, though very likely he will be completely normal by then. Some pets will display similar behavior if they are experiencing pain of the neck/back, abdomen, or mouth (dental). You are correct that these types of reactions can be due to severe anxiety, but this would most likely not affect his appetite and attitude when people are not interacting with him. I would recommend having him thoroughly evaluated by his veterinarian to see if the pain can be localized. Based on the physical examination findings, additional diagnostics may be recommended (complete blood count, serum chemistry, urinalysis), and treatments can be tailored based on findings.
