My dog overate kibble. Is bloat a risk for English Bulldogs?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I am dog sitting and one dog (an English bulldog) ate some of the other dogs food (about a cup of kibble) in addition to her own. Do I need to worry about bloat?

No, I wouldn't worry too much. I just suggest you skip the next feeding OR only give a tiny amount of food (like 1/4 cup) and don't let the Bulldog do much exercise. The exercise after eating a lot is what causes the stomach to flip in most cases.

Hope this helps. Best wishes.
