My dog won't eat, drink, or stand up. What should I do right now?

She might have a condition called "Parvovirus" which is a very serious virus that affects puppies, and is more likely if Joplin is unvaccinated. The other possible causes in a puppy include an obstruction in her gut (a blockage from a foreign object (ex. ball) that she ate, or an intussusception (the intestines telescoping in on each other). Also, depending on her age, pyometra is possible along with many other conditions. With what you are describing, I am very concerned that she could die without aggressive care. I strongly recommend you get Joplin to a vet right away, and if your vet is closed go to your closest emergency clinic. They will recommend a test of her poop, as well as possible bloodwork and x-rays, and will likely want to keep her in hospital on IV fluids and medications. Tricia is experiencing very general symptom of disease, this symptom could fit almost any internal condition, maybe she is suffering from nausea due to a gastrointestinal disease and maybe he is in pain, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking her to the vet as soon as possible in order to get her checked, if he doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with Tricia.

This sounds very peculiar especially in such a young pup. I would be worried that he has a fever, and it would be important to check. If so, I would be suspicious of polyarthritis due to sepsis, lyme disease or other tick born diseases. Common conditions I see in young pups are pancreatitis, gastrointestinal parasites, and gastroenteritis. A good physical exam would be helpful. A painful abdomen, a positive fecal exam etc would help to narrow down what is going on.

There could be a number of reasons why Princess isn't eating, drinking, shaking, and not having regular bowel movements. I see that she isn't spayed, and the first thing that comes to my mind is a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. It could also be she got into something rotten or toxic, or could have a foreign body. Her symptoms are very serious, and it's concerning this has been ongoing for three days. I would consider this a medical emergency, especially with the risk of her having a pyometra. She needs veterinary care now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

Oh no, poor Pixie! It's very concerning that she hasn't been eating and drinking as well as not being fully vaccinated. There is alway a chance that she picked up an illness from another dog. When a young puppy isn't eating, it's time to see a vet as soon as possible. If Pixie still isn't eating and drinking by the morning, take her into a vet right away. Tonight, try to tempt her to eat with some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice.

Hello. I am sorry to hear that Sugar is feeling so sick. When a puppy is lying around, not eating or drinking they are usually very ill. This may be either an infection (like Parvo), a problem she was born with (a congenital problem), or possibly something she ate or got into. I understand you are short on finances. Please offer Sugar some baby food directly into her mouth. If she will not take baby food from you and has not eaten all day her blood sugar may get dangerously low. You should see if she can lick up a small amount of karo syrup to try and increase her blood sugar level. If at all possible I would get her to an emergency veterinarian tonight to have her assessed. At least an exam can give you a lot of information about her vitals and they can lead you in the right direction to try and get her better. I hope the best for her.

Other possible causes of her symptoms could include an intestinal obstruction, a serious infection of some kind, or ingestion of something toxic. Regardless of the underlying cause, these symptoms are serious enough to warrant a trip to the emergency vet tonight. He/she can do some diagnostic testing to help determine the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment right away.
