My dog has a white bump on her paw that turned red, but it doesn't hurt.

Hello. This looks like a small cyst, nothing too worrisome. It may pop & if it does, just clean the area with a good skin antiseptic like Hibiclens ( available at all pharmacies ). A warm compress or soaking the foot in warm water for 10 minutes 2-3 times per day may bring things to a head sooner, but this does not appear to be at all dangerous. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Callie. She appears to have a small growth on her pad. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. She could have a mass, a poorly healing wound or an area of irritation from licking. Her veterinarian will examine her and determine how best to treat the issue. In the meantime, do not allow her to lick the paw. She should wear an E-collar if necessary. I hope this information helps!

This looks like a corn to me. They are common in greyhounds. I would have this checked again and they may want to sedate her and remove some of this and do a biopsy to be sure. Usually corns are removed or trimmed down so they they don’t affect their walking or cause discomfort. Since this is changing I would pursue a diagnosis before it gets bigger. This appears like a wart, or possibility a sebaceous adenoma. I would have to examine it closer to be sure though. These are benign masses that usually go away on their own. It's best to have your vet examine it to be sure. Hi there. This is most likely a histiocytoma. They will often regress on their own within a few weeks to a month. My suggestion would be to take Hazel to your vet for an exam so you can get a more definitive diagnosis. Hi there. This looks like a histiocytoma. If it is, it should regress (go away on it's own) within a month or two. I would not be overly worried about this right now. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bella! Based on your pictures that isn't a growth but a paw pad abrasion. I see it when the dog runs too much on asphalt or tennis courts chasing balls and skidding. I have seen multiple feet and multiple pads affected and peel like blisters. They heal quickly by preventing licking with an E-collar, soaking in Epsom salts, oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. I wish you and Bella the best!
